Martyn provides community based support for East Brighton residents affected by alcohol and drug use.
What the service offers
Martyn offers a service that is confidential and non-judgemental. The Project works to improve the health of East Brighton residents and reduce the harm from substance misuse.
Martyn receives referrals from individuals and a range of health and social care agencies, including GPs, Housing Officers and Social Workers. He provides one-to-one support, at home or in the community; and referrals to city health services. The project works with over 100 residents a year, and feedback has been very positive.

- To provide user-friendly information, advice and advocacy
- To offer harm reduction and relapse prevention support
- To make referrals and empower access to services
- To provide health promotion training
- To reduce stigma and promote physical and mental well-being
